Lot Clearing & Brush Removal

Lot Clearing & Brush Removal

Prepare Your Property the Right Way—From First Cut to Final Grade

We clear trees and brush, remove stumps, shape drainage, and leave your site build-ready. Serving Simcoe County & Georgian Bay for decades.

Why Proper Lot Clearing Matters

Good clearing sets up everything that follows—excavation, drainage, foundations, driveways, and landscaping. Poor clearing leaves hidden stumps, buried organics, soft spots, and water problems that cost more to fix later. We plan each cut, separate materials, protect healthy trees, and prepare a clean, level, well-drained site.

  • Smoother excavation & fewer surprises
  • Reliable drainage away from the build area
  • Stable sub-grades for foundations & driveways
  • Cleaner site with no buried wood or stump rot

What’s Included

  • Selective tree & brush removal
  • Stump extraction or grinding (as needed)
  • Material sorting: saw logs, firewood, brush, topsoil
  • Rough grading & drainage shaping
  • Construction access & driveway clearing
  • Cleanup & hauling (or chip/mulch reuse on site)

You keep what you want—logs, chips, topsoil—or we haul it away. No mess left behind.

Our Process

1) Site Walk & Plan

We walk the property, mark the build footprint, driveway, septic area, and trees to preserve. Clear plan = cleaner results.

2) Selective Clearing

Clean cuts, organized piles, and careful machine work. Logs, brush, and soil are separated from the start.

3) Stumps & Sub-grade

Stumps pulled (or ground where appropriate). We remove organics under build areas so your base stays solid.

4) Drainage & Rough Grade

We shape the land so water flows away from the future foundation and driveway. No accidental ponds.

5) Access & Cleanup

Stable access for trucks and excavators; site cleaned, safe, and ready for excavation, septic, and forms.

6) Hand-Off

Walk-through with you to confirm scope complete. Clear next steps and schedule for excavation or foundation.

Right Equipment = Faster & Cleaner

We run mini and full-size excavators, track loaders, brush cutters, stump grinders, and dump trailers. Proper tooling means fewer hours, tighter work, and predictable costs.

  • Mini & full-size excavators for stumps and shaping
  • Track loaders/skid steers for grading and cleanup
  • Brush heads & grinders for tight‐access areas
  • Dump trailers & trucks for efficient hauling

Nothing Goes to Waste

We sort as we go so you can reuse what makes sense.

Lot Clearing & Brush Removal — FAQs

Do I need permits to clear trees?

It depends on the municipality, conservation authority, and the size/species of trees. If you’re near shorelines, wetlands, or in regulated woodlands, talk to us first—we’ll advise on what’s allowed and help with permits if required.

How long does clearing usually take?

Most residential lots take 1–4 days depending on density, terrain, and access. We provide a clear schedule before we mobilize.

Can I keep logs, chips, or topsoil?

Absolutely. We’ll separate and stack what you want to keep and haul the rest. Many clients keep chips for trails or garden beds.

What’s the best season for lot clearing?

We work year-round. Frozen ground protects soils in winter; drier months improve access. We’ll recommend timing based on your site and build schedule.
